Show#30 is online now with great added depression!

Yes Dosers the show is online and just after it ended, I went walking to the store just past my favorite elementary school, cuz that's how I roll (walk) these days! Ya'll know this weeks "Dose of Reality", right? Just imagine how ugly I felt when I saw this sight

I took a few more steps and thought, a picture isn't enough these days, you know I had to do something else as I am getting a little bit better at this technology thing!

These are the people that are supposed to be teaching our children! Just what is the lesson here, "Don't worry about the rules"?
Sheesh,

OHDH is way off base obviously...

Show # 29 is Online now!

Hey Dosers, this week's show is online now for your enjoyment, but please don't be too bummed out about this week's Dose of Reality. It is happening and it would be really good if we could find a way to put a stop to it forever.

Show # 26 online now!

Hey Dosers,
Sorry to be so late posting this news even tho' it played well and was online in time, guess I just got carried away with some other areas of life here on the homestead. The heat got me down a little too! No matter, we got our Dayly Dose and it's all good, It was a nice mixture for show # 26 a lot of nice mellow music as well as a hard rocking set that probably had the whole house jumping some. If you really care about your Internet Freedom, you'll want to listen to the Dose of Reality this week! I have a couple new things I'm gonna be working on, with other Dosers help of course, and hopefully they'll be on the program in the coming weeks. School will be starting soon as well so I will be real busy at CRC with a full load of classes. I'll be taking a TV production class as well as 3 Radio classes toward my certificates, Oh Teacher....
For Now, Enjoy Your Dayly Dose!

A Real Dose of Reality!

Wow, one of my best friends sent me a link today that contains a video clip from a series from HBO called "The Newsroom". I have never heard of this series, but then again, I don't have HBO. Cable either for that matter. But after seeing this clip, I immediately saw the first episode of the series and now I want to see more.

Is it possible that there actually people who recognize this sort of knowledge? How come we haven't heard more from these types of people?

Just another Dayly Dose of Reality!

The Dayly Dose show # 25

Hey Dosers,

Wow, 25 shows so far this year, and it doesn't even feel like it. I've learned so much so far and yet it feels like I have so much to learn. I have a project that a Doser friend and I are gonna be perfecting so we can use it in the program. This week's show was all Doser music, and you know who you are! I'm persuing lots of ideas for the "Dose of Reality", so that looks like it has some long lasting regularity built in and that's good!

Head on over to the site and give a listen and check out the play list with the link below.

Enjoy, OHDH

Just Another "How To" Video ...

Hello Dosers,

Here is the final project I did at Consumnes River College in Lauren Wagner's Single Camera Production & Editing class. We had various choices as to what type we wanted to do for our final project and I chose to do this How To video. These projects were supposed to be all done by ourselves if possible with as little support as needed. The video is 3 minutes long and it is too big to embed into the post here itself so I made it a link from Youtube connected to the post title for easy viewing.

The Dayly Dose has a home on the Web, Finally!

Hey Dosers, well I finally have a solution to the archiving of the shows I produce for Access Sacramento. I am hosting the shows web space with a surewest account I have. The address is: https://home.surewest.net/suprclrk

There will be a playlist each week as well as a past shows page in case someone missed a show. There will also be a page the will show the studio where I create the shows each week.

All in all big fun as we take some baby steps forward while getting our "Dayly Dose". Thanks for hanging in with me as I try to figure all this new technology out

A New Way to Get the Show

Greetings all you Dayly Dosers! I have been trying to find a way to archive the files from each of the shows I do for Accesssacramento community access. I think I have created a way to do this now. To make sure it is working correctly, I will for a short time need to have blog members request a link till I make sure everything is sorted out correctly. After that request, I will send members a link for the show segments that they will be able to download and they will then be able to play my show at their convenient leisure time.

Blog members may request an email with the links for this weeks show here

Thanks in advance

The Daylydose 420 special! Like Wow Man!

This last show was about the evil herb and all of it's trials and tribulations throughout the years. There was music from the 30's all the way up to the 90's. I came up with quite a few rare musical buds. So relax, as Tommy does, put on your eye shades, put in your earphones, and you know where to put the cork. Enjoy the show. Try this link to get to the show, and let me know if it doesn't work, okay? Hey, anybody catch the Rock N' Roll induction on Saturday? Till next week, or sooner, Rick

The Dayly Dose show for 4-13-12!

Hey gang, it is great to try new things out with all my dosed up friends, so here we go. This past weeks show was all about BASEBALL. What could be better. You can click on this week's title to take you to a very special place.

This is the link to my home page I am creating for my Dreameaver class this semester. Click on the radio link on the left side of the page to get more info about the show. Maybe this is how I can post the show until I get some web hosting of my own for the show/blog/ultimate live365 program.

What ever you do this week, take care and keep up with your dosage, okay?

Rick

Shows for 3-30-12

Hey Gang of Dosers, this weeks shows are ready to go and I'm really thrilled to have been able to use all of the songs Greg let me use from his Brothers new cd. His Brother Peter is the 2011 South Australian Songwriter of the year and I'm jazzed to probably the first in Sacramento to be able to play his music. Peter has a studio at home where he recorded the music and I would guess did the disc production as well. Hats off to Peter Clayton and the CD " Out of The Ruins ". It is really cool and there is a song in each segment of the program. Quite a bit of true "Doser" music this week and a couple of interesting covers as well. I can dropbox the segments if anyone is interested, just drop me a line and I'll add your name to the list of DB friends and I'll have them up each week. I will have to check it out as I may have to wait to upload them until they actually play on The Voice before I can post them. I'll see about that.
Till Next time,
Stay Dosin'

The Dayly Dose show 3-23-12

All right. This weeks show is in the can so to speak. I am still working on a way to archive the shows so bare with me a little while longer. I had fun this week amidst all of the Mannsanity out here on the left coast, but hay, why not I say. I mean, if you can play Garth Brooks, G. Love & Special Sauce, Frank Zappa & The Mothers, Elvis Costello, as well as something from Maggot Brain, how bad of a week could it be, Right? Anyway, the Dreamweaver class is coming along pretty well and maybe that is how I find a place to have my shows stashed. High 90 % and I'm already past what I had hoped to learn so it's all sunny here on ward 13.

Peace out all you Dose Heads.

First attempt and learnin' curve

Okay, so I have learned a bit and I will be looking for a place where I can host the music files and that has the ability to link urlz to my blog. In between homework reading assignments of course. Sometime this week I hope to have it all sorted out.

The Doctor is on the case!

The Medication Has Returned !

The Doctor has returned with your DAYLY DOSE ! After way too much time away from the ward, I have returned to The Dayly Dose and all of the glory of putting forth my music out there for all to enjoy. I hope your addiction is as strong as mine for music in all of it's genre's. As you may be aware, you never know what you will hear on The Dayly Dose at any given time, and the head nurse said, "That's A Good Thing Isn't It". And no it isn't Nurse Ratchet either.
I am trying to figure out how to post archived shows here on the blog. I am hoping that I am not breaking too many rules by posting the shows that I have previously done for the Sacramento Community Access channel's station, The Voice, here. But, I guess we'll find out. These are past shows that will be posted after they have been aired on their channel. I will try to post them on Saturdays in the afternoon here on the left coast so let's see how that works!
Like Sam Cooke, don't know much about posting and players and files on blogs, but I do know several people have told me they can't hear the show when it's on so I need to make accommodations.
