Show # 56 is now online ....

Hello Dosers, this week's show is now online for your pleasure. This week there is some really good music and some especially good sound clips that all relate to the "Dose of Reality" this week. I hope all of you Dosers are awake with respect to what is going on around our little country club and how things will affect our future, if there is any. I know this sounds bleak and disheartening but in reality, IT IS! I urge all of you to be aware about everything around you and call to task all those we have elected who are not doing their jobs for US!

Remember, the revolution WILL NOT be televised!

Show # 55 is now online ...

Well Dosers, I'm just trying to keep up and now show # 55 is uploaded to the website. Hope you enjoy it. I gotta get more organized with all the social media stuff, I really need that 25th hour in the day, right? Lots of activity around the homestead, and lots of grease under our nails too! Quite a bit of goings on in the garden as well. Just a well rounded Dayly Doser, ya know!

Well I'm home now and settled back into the groove. The last day of the class trip was cool as we went to USC and saw some really neat bits of using technology. The Motion Capture Studio was incredible and the tour overall was great, but, I realized the school is so way out of my financial situation that it isn't funny. Next we went to KCET an independent TV station that was a Public Broadcast Station not so long ago. Wow, was their equipment eye opening, especially their Green Screen Studio. After that we went to Cal State Northridge. The tour was fine, people were fine, but it just didn't seem like they were all that up to date with respect to equipment. Their Radio station on campus doesn't even use students for the on-air positions which I find totally unreasonable. The best a student can do is to be an intern for the "Paid Professionals" who do the air shifts.

What's Up With That?

This weeks show is just about ready to be up loaded to the website

Had a real cool day today in class down here in Hollywood. Toured the Warner Brothers studios first, then we had lunch at Bob's Big Boy, # 49, then we went to a taping of the late late show with Craig Ferguson. Really awesome because our professor Gary Martin was pulled out of the crowd by Craig during a break and made his debut on national TV. 12:30 here on the left coast. After that we got a tour of the control rooms by one of Gary's former students at CRC who is the Technical Director for the late late show, way unexpected, not even on the tour and extreme last minute, like just before the show started. After that we got an even cooler tour of the show sets and throughout the bowels of CBS, and everywhere we could go, by Alan Takaguchi (sp?), who is the Director of Technicians and Productions if I understood him correctly. Now it's just wait up till Gary makes his debut. Tomorrow we tour Cal-State Northridge, and The USC Film Center before heading home tomorrow afternoon. Whew, what a day it has been.

How Could This Happen ...

Well Dosers, I am stunned it has been this long since I have posted here. I guess it isn't as smooth keeping up with all of the shows, my being in school and everything else in the life of a Dayly Doser. I am getting better at the home page tho'. I am interning this semester at our local Community Cable Access station and it is cool. I have been able to some cool things in the studio for some live programs as well as being a guest last night on a program called Livewire. I have also been fortunate to be able to have done some color analyst commentating on the Game of The Week this basketball season which has been so cool. I'll get some links posted soon for some of those things. I am actually finished with all the units needed for my certificates in Television Production, Radio Production, as well as my Digital Media certificate. I will be getting so real good experience at Access and I hope to transfer all that knowledge into further work here and see where that takes me. Meanwhile,
